OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Joys & Smiles ....The Learning Place, we believe a child is a beautiful gift to mankind and it is our moral duty and obligation to give every child a good, healthy, eco-social, emotional, intellectual and physical environment in order to assist in the child’s complete growth and development. We truly believe that if a child’s foundation is strong, the long term effect is going to be apparent when the child turns into an adult –both in his personal life and professional as well. A weak foundation will lead to his failure or not too successful in life! Throughout his growing years, we need to be vigilant, concerned, caring, thoughtful, aware and focused on the child’s total development which should and must include all the aspects of developments-one cannot be fully focused upon whilst we neglect the other/others.
We also follow Preschool based Teaching, which also will eventually prepare your child for Kindergarten.
WE ARE OPEN DURING SUMMER BREAK MONTHS( CLOSED FOR

A loving home away from home!
My purpose is to ensure it is a "home away from home" for your child and your family. You are entrusting me with your most precious commodity ... your child...so thank you!
You will find this is a home of love, laughter and learning. Your child will be cared for with the same love and respect that I give to my own children.
I believe in respect, love and learning while having fun! Children tend to learn the best through play. We have many stimulating materials and play equipment that will help to facilitate this play. The materials provided will meet a range of needs for all ages as children do learn at their own rate. "Curriculum" per say, will be based in the moment in order to take advantage of everyday occurrences and learning opportunities. Some of these examples are nature, science experiments, space, patterns. I will have specific themes on certain days that we will focus on and will communicate these themes to you as well as what we di

Before and after school serving William Watson Elementary.
Cozy Corner Childcare is located in the beautiful area of Fleetwood in Surrey directly across from William Watson Elementary.
I have been running my daycare for over 6 years, ever since my son was 1 year old. I had looked at many different daycares, before I was pregnant and after he was born, but I could not find what I wanted. The few centers that I was interested in had very long waiting lists, so I knew I had to come up with another alternative. I had taken the Early Childhood Education program, and had gotten my certificate as an Early Childhood Educator and my license to practice. I also had experience working in a Before and After School Daycare and at a 3-5 year old Daycare centre run by the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion. So I decided that I would open my own License Not Required (LNR) Daycare out of my home. This way I could give my son the benefits of going to a daycare, and be able to spend my days watching him grow up. I have enjoyed working and playing with the children, watching them learn, and in turn learning from them. I have also had another child since then, a daughter who is

Little Branches is a non-profit centre, aiming to provide quality care with reasonable rates and a positive and loving atmosphere for our community’s children.

I believe that in quality family daycare, caregivers:
• offer a positive, nurturing experience for children in home-like setting
• ensure that basic health and safety standards are met
• ensure that interactions with children are warm, caring and respectful
• encourage learning through play
• guide children’s behaviour in positive ways
• respect children’s ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds
I believe at the early years one should understand that every child is unique and exceptional. I believe that this great individuality mandates that there can never be a universal method for guiding all children. Instead, I understand that children are at their best when engaged through a variety of learning methods. My focus is on development and enrichment of the « whole child » which involves meeting the developmental needs of every child as he or she grows socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. I am trying to provide them environment that stimulates learning, and enh
