Daycare Canada Online does not own, operate, manage, supervise or inspect any child care facility or program. A listing on DaycareCanada.com is not an endorsement, recommendation, rating or guarantee of any provider, its staff or its services.

2We do not verify licensing, safety or qualifications

We do not check whether a provider is licensed, registered or in good standing, and we do not do background checks, criminal record checks, inspections or reference checks. Words such as "licensed" in a listing come from the provider.

Before you enrol a child, confirm the provider's status with the child care licensing office for your province or territory, and read its inspection reports where they are published.

3Listing information comes from providers

Providers and other third parties supply the details in listings, including names, addresses, hours, rates, ages served, vacancies, photos and descriptions. We do not check this information and cannot promise that it is accurate, complete or current. Rates and vacancies change often, so confirm them with the provider.

4Choosing a provider is your decision

You alone decide whether a provider is right for your child. We encourage you to visit in person, meet the caregivers, ask for references, read the provider's policies and contract, and trust your judgement.

Any agreement for child care is between you and the provider. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for a provider's care, conduct, fees, refunds or disputes.

5Requests sent through the site

When you send a request for information, we pass your message and contact details to the provider you chose. We can't promise that a provider will reply, have space or offer care.

Please don't include sensitive details, such as your child's health information, in a request. Share those directly with a provider once you have chosen one. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

6Maps, addresses and distances

Map locations and distances are approximate. They are based on the address a provider gives us and on map data from OpenStreetMap contributors, and they may be wrong or out of date. Don't rely on the map for directions or an exact location.

7General information only

Articles, FAQs and other information on the site, for example about child development, types of care or government subsidies, are general information. They are not professional, medical, legal or financial advice. Government programs, rules and fees change, so check current details with the government office that runs them.

8Advertising and links to other websites

The site shows advertising, including ads served by Google, and links to websites we don't control. An ad or a link does not mean we endorse the advertiser, its products or the other website, and we are not responsible for their content, offers or privacy practices.

9For providers: listings and paid packages

A paid package gives a provider a fuller listing for its subscription period. It does not mean we have reviewed or approved the provider, and it does not guarantee any number of views, requests or enrolments.

Providers are responsible for keeping their listing accurate, lawful and up to date, for the photos and text they send us, and for holding any licence their province or territory requires. We may edit, suspend or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading or inappropriate.

10Reporting a concern

If you believe a child is in danger, call 911 or contact your local police or child protection agency right away. To report a concern about a child care provider, contact the licensing office in your province or territory.

If a listing on our site is wrong or misleading, please tell us and we will review it.

11Limitation of liability

DaycareCanada.com is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, WhibDev Consulting Inc. (which operates DaycareCanada.com) and its owners and staff are not liable for any loss, injury or damage that arises from your use of the site, from any listing, or from your dealings with any provider, advertiser or other website.

Nothing in this disclaimer limits a right you have that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including consumer protection law.

12Governing law and changes

This disclaimer is governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. We may update it from time to time; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
